Psalm 146:3

‘Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.’

• We can be tempted to misplace our trust and look to humans for help.
• We may even think that powerful people can open doors for us.
• But there is only One who can open a door that no one can shut.
• There is only One who has your best interests at heart.

Prayer: Lord, I place my confidence and trust in You and You alone. Help me to be like David, who trusted on You alone and destroyed the giant in the process. Amen.

Psalm 146:3

Vertrou nie op prinse, op die mensekind, by wie geen heil is nie.

• Ons kan verlei word om ons vertroue te misplaas en om na mense te kyk vir hulp.
• Ons mag selfs dink dat magtige mense vir ons deure kan oopmaak.
• Maar daar is net Een wat ‘n deur kan oopmaak wat niemand kan toemaak nie.
• Daar us net Een wat ons beste belange op die hart dra.

Gebed: Vader, ek plaas my vertroue  in U en U alleen. Help my om soos Dawid te wees wie u alleen vertrou het en die reus in die proses vernietig het.  Amen.
