1 Kings 19:11-12

‘The LORD was not in the wind, the LORD was not in the earthquake, the LORD was not in the fire, and after the fire a still small voice! ’

• We should be attentive to the still small voice of God within us.
• Sometimes we may wish He would speak to us dramatically.
• But in most cases He speaks to us by way of the ‘still small voice’.
• May we be sensitive to listen and to hear what He wants to say to us.

Prayer: Lord, forgive me Lord for always wanting a dramatic sign from You. Speak to me I pray and may I know Your still small voice in my life, as You lead and guide me. Amen.

‘….;in die wind was die HERE nie. En nà die wind ‘n aardbewing; in die aardbewing was die HERE nie. En nà die aardbewing ‘n vuur; in die vuur was die HERE nie. En nà die vuur die gesuis van ‘n Sagte koelte.’

• Ons moet aandag gee aan die sagte stem van God binne ons.
• Soms mag ons wens dat Hy dramaties met ons moet praat.
• Maar meesal praat Hy met ons deur ‘n sagte stil stem.
• Mag ons sensitief wees om te luister en te hoor wat Hy vir ons wil sê

Gebed: Vader, verewe my dat ek alytd ‘n dramatiese teken van U verwag. Ek bid dat U met my sal praat en mag ek U sagte, stil stem in my lewe ken wanneer U my lei en raadgee. Amen.
