‘The LORD is close to the broken-hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.’
- We all face times of difficulty and challenge.
- We can even feel broken-hearted and crushed in our spirits.
- But it is at these times that the Lord is even closer than we think.
- Let Him come and flood your heart, soul and mind with His peace.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are close to me when I am facing things I thought I could not handle. May I know Your presence as a living reality and will Your rescue and revive my spirit I pray. Amen.

‘Die HERE is naby die wat gebroke is van hart, en Hy verlos die wat verslae is van gees.’
- Ons gaan almal deur moeilike en uitdagende tye.
- Ons kan selfs gebroke van hart voel en verslae van gees wees.
- Maar dit is in sulke tye wat die Here nog nader aan ons is as wat ons dink.
- Laat Hom toe om jou hart, siel en verstand met sy vrede te oorstroom.
Gebed: Vader, dankie dat U naby my is wanneer ek dinge deurgaan wat ek gedink het dat ek nie kan hanteer nie. Mag ek U teenwoordigheid as ‘n lewende realiteit ken en ek bid dat U my gees sal red en vernuwe. Amen.

I woke up this morning early feeling to say the least “crushed” where my circumstances had got the better of me instead of visa versa! I went into a Prayer Time with God which kind of dribbled off my bottom lip to the floor! I then felt Prompted to “go to sleep” which I instantly did for about a half an hour. When I woke up His still small Voice Said to me “Start your engine” and it wouldn’t even turn over never mind start….. He then Said: “You need a Jump Start” and I got a picture of Jump Leads connecting to my Heart and then all Heaven broke loose in and through me downloading…. Heart Peace, Joy Strength, Light, Love, Life, Dominion, Authority, Influence, Wings like the Eagle and so forth! In the twinkling of the eye I had gone from “ow!” to Wow!!!! What and awesome, personal and all caring God we have and serve.
Your Word for Today has confirmed in Spades all that took place with me this morning…. Bless you Andrew for being Spirit Led! With hindsight the Lord Showed me that before I got His “Jump Start” I had been closely travelling parallel to His Path for me but not actually on it where I was close but not close enough to where I should be – The Middle!…. Sadly going in the same direction as Him but in my own understanding and strength which the Bible says clearly is in vein or an Ishmael! (Not an Isaac)
